The Amalfi Coast is a 50 km stretch of coastline along the southern edge of Italy's Sorrento Peninsula, in the Campania region. It is a popular holiday destination with sheer cliffs and a rugged shoreline with small beaches and pastel-coloured fishing villages. The coastal road from the port city of Salerno to Sorrento over the cliffs passes grand villas, terraced vineyards and clifftop lemon groves.
